Here are some beautiful words of guidance and wisdom on all of the above... the
exquisite and fragile, yet powerful and strong, universal life force energy... LOVE.
A soulmate is someone who has the locks to fit our keys, and the keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we're pretending to be. Each of us unveils the best part of one another.
No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we are safe in our paradise. Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we're two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we've found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life. ~ Richard Bach
Love is so short, and forgetting takes so long. ~ Pablo Neruda
Even if we never talk again after tonight, please know that I am forever changed
Because of who you are and what you meant to me. ~ From the movie Chasing Amy
"Love me tender, love me sweet, never let me go.
You have made my life complete and I love you so.
Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfill.
For, my darlin', I love you and I always will.
Love me tender, love me long, take me to your heart.
For it's there that I belong and we'll never part
Love me tender, love me dear, tell me you are mine.
I'll be yours through all the years till the end of time."
For a modern spiritual relationship to work, both parties need a lot of
freedom and a lot of space, because nobody wants to go into a relationship
and find themselves restricted by their partner. I feel that as more and more
people become aware, develop their energy and expand their stock of light
within, the whole concept of marriage will not suit the free spirit - the aware
person. Yes, two very aware people could wind up with a very beautiful
relationship, but it takes an enormous amount of effort and energy to sustain.
The living spirit, the god force, is androgynous, it isn't male or female.
As you imbue yourself with more spirituality, with a greater stock of
light, you move away from the more dogmatic definitions of male and
female, husband and wife.
So the idea is, to first to become comfortable with yourself, to become
a complete reconciled, transcendent being. Then find a partner to hang
out with who has achieved at least a modicum of the same transformation,
otherwise you either sentence yourself to a tick-tock relationship based
on patriarchal laws, or wind up in a dysfunctional relationship where
you're both stressed out and uncomfortable with each other.
~ Stuart Wilde
Life in abundance comes only through great love.
Without love, your life echoes emptiness.
With it, your life will vibrate with warmth
and meaning. Even during great hardship,
love shines through. There is no force
more potent than love. Take away love
and your world is a tomb.
If you have it, you don't need to have
anything else, and if you don't have it,
it doesn't much matter what else you have.
As you look back upon the events in your
life you will find that the moments that
stand out, the moments when you have
really lived, are the moments when you
have done things in a spirit of love.
Therefore, search for love.
Once you have learned to love,
you will have learned to live.

Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day?
Thou are more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And Summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd:
But thy eternal Summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st:
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
~ William Shakespeare
Love is the most important ingredient of your success.
Mountain Dreamer's Poem
"It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you
ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your hearts longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking a fool for love, for your dream,
for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon.
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you
have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own,
without moving to hide it or fade it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own;
if you can dance with wildness and let ecstasy fill you to the tips of your
fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, or to
remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another and be true yourself;
if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul.
I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it is not pretty everyday,
and if you can source your life on the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the moon.
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up after a night of grief and despair,
weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done for the children.
It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came here.
I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me
and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep in empty moments".
~ Oria, Mountain Dreamer, Indian Elder
I asked God to take away my pain. God said, No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.
I asked God to make handicapped children whole. God said, No.
Their spirit is whole, their body is only temporary.
I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is earned.
I asked God to give me happiness. God said, No.
I give you blessings. Happiness is up to you.
I asked God to spare me pain. God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.
I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, No.
You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you grow.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, No.
I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.
I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as he loves me.
God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

You were born together, and together you shall be forever more.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter
your days. Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.
Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous,
but let each one of you be alone.
Even as the strings of a lute are alone
though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress
grow not in each others shadow.
~ Kahlil Gibran
MUST allow each other
space and freedom,
in order to be together
That is strength.
That is trust.
That is what will endure.

Life, Love and Friendship
Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before we meet the right one so
that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.
When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look
so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.
The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say
a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've every had.
It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true
that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives. Open your heart.
Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back!
Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart,
but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours.
It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone,
and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make
a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.
Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you,
it probably hurts the other person, too.
Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched,
and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance
of people who have touched their lives.
Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.

Friends are angels who lift us to our feet
when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

It's folly to pretend that one wholly recovers from a disappointed passion.
Such wonders always leave a scar.
There are faces I can never look upon without emotion;
There are names I can never hear spoken without almost starting to cry.
Everyone hears what you say. Friends listen to what you say.
Best friends listen to what you don't say.
Friends are God's way of taking care of us.
|For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through
through it all
You were my strength when I was weak
|You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
Im grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you
You were always there for me
|Never underestimate the power of your actions.
With one small gesture you can change a person's life.
For better or for worse.
God puts us all in each other's lives
to impact one another in some way.
Look for God in others.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
I love thee with the passion put to use
|There is a sacredness in tears.
They are not the mark of weakness, but of power.
They speak more eloquently than 1,000 tongues.
They are the messengers of overwhelming grief,
deep contrition and of unspeakable love.
